Ronin8 Joins Alacrity Investor Readiness Program

We’re pleased to announce that Ronin8, based in Vancouver, BC, is the latest company to join Alacrity’s Investor Readiness Program (IRP). The company has been accepted into the IRP and will work closely with Alacrity’s advisors and team members to prepare for investment opportunities.

We recently published a commentary of Ronin8 regarding their role in Corporate Social Responsibility. We were extremely impressed by their team and direction and are excited to have them participate in the Alacrity program.

Ronin8 focuses on leaving “a better world for future generations” by deploying a closed-loop process for manufacturing key materials used in the production of the electronics we use every day. 20 to 50 million tonnes of electronic waste is created every year. 80% of the “recycled” e-waste ends up in developing countries where people living in poverty spend their days trying to sort through or burn it to make an income for themselves. The lack of proper facilities or technologies in these countries means the people process the materials in ways that release toxic chemicals, poisoning the people who depend on the materials for survival, negatively impacting the communities around them, and laying waste to the surrounding environment. Ronin8’s technology puts an end to this vicious circle.

The company’s philosophy aims to redefine sustainability by creating a true closed-loop economy in which every type of material is reused. They are working on this vision by combining technologies such as electromagnets, water, and sonic vibration in innovative ways to separate these various materials. Circuit boards, the main component of e-waste, are disassembled, shredded, and ground up. Sonic vibrations separate metal components from non-metal ones, sending non-metal materials to be recycled and remade into environmentally friendly products. The process results in 100% pure metals, including gold, silver, and platinum, being extracted and put back into existing supply channels to reuse in new products. All of the water and solvents needed to process these materials are used again for the next batch, ensuring that no excess waste is produced and there is no negative impact on the environment.

The IRP will help Ronin8 access support from Alacrity advisors and mentors and will connect the company with Alacrity’s network of investors. We are thrilled to see Ronin8’s name added to our list of IRP companies and we look forward to working with the entire team to aid their further development!
